Seat Attachment
When roading the machine in Italy, the seat slide attachment and seat relocation brackets must be used to move the seat forward. Consult your Cat dealer for details.Prepare the Lift Arms
If equipped, the roading restraint must be installed on the lift arms as described. Use in accordance with all local regulations on public roads. This restraint does not replace or supersede any existing restraint provided with this machine. Keep the restraint with the machine at all times. Inspect the restraint frequently for damage. Replace the restraint if any damage is found. Do not use the restraint for any other purpose.Install the Restraining Strap

Move the lift arms and work tool to the traveling position.
Fasten the shackle on the ratchet end of the strap to the lift point on the right front of the frame.
Ensure that the ratchet tightening arm is pointing down.
Loop the strap around the lift arms to the left side lifting point and fasten the shackle to the lifting point.
Ensure that there are no twists in the strap.
Tighten the ratchet to remove the slack in the restraint. Do not over tighten.
Remove the restraint strap before resuming normal operations. Prepare the Work Tool
Buckets
The guard for the buckets is used on both simple buckets and hydromechanical buckets.

Make sure that the two front roading decals (5) are properly attached to the guard (1) for the bucket. Make sure that the side roading decals (4) are properly attached to the guard for the bucket. There are a total of four decals on the guard for the bucket.
Loosen the wing nuts (3) and move the guard for the bucket so that the guard fits over the outside edge of the bucket. Tighten the wing nuts.
Install the bolts, three washers, plates, and wing nuts (2) on both side plates of the bucket. Note: Always carry the bucket at the proper height when roading the machine.
