To prevent possible personal injury, make sure the pressure in the air system is zero before any air lines are disconnected.
3. Put identification marks on the two air lines for correct installation. Disconnect the two air lines from governor control valve (1). 4. Remove clip (3) and pin (2) that holds the pedal to the plate. Remove pedal (4). 5. Remove clip (6) from the pin. Remove pin (7) and roller (5) from the pedal. 6. Remove spring (8). Remove the rubber and plunger (9). 7. Remove nut (11) that holds the governor control valve in position. Remove the governor control valve.8. Remove three bolts (10) and plate (12).Install Governor Control Valve
1. Put plate (1) in position, and install the three bolts that hold it to the floor plate. 2. Put governor control valve (2) in position, and install the nut from the inside of the cab to hold it in pace.3. Install the spring on the plate. Install the rubber and plunger on top of the valve.4. Connect the two air lines to governor control valve (2). 5. Put roller (5) in pedal (6). Install pin (4) to hold the roller in the pedal. Install clip (3) on the pin. 6. Put pedal (6) in position on the plate, and install pin (7).7. Install the clip that holds pin (7) in place.Disassemble Governor Control Valve
START BY:a. remove governor control valve 1. Remove six screws (1) that hold the governor control valve together. 2. Remove cover (9), O-ring seal (8), valve (7), seals (6), piston (5), shims (4) and spring (3) from housing (2). Remove the O-ring seals from inside cover (9).Assemble Governor Control Valve
1. Make sure all parts are clean. Put clean oil on all the seals. If the valve is defective, a replacement of the valve as a unit must be made.2. Install spring (2), piston (3), seals (4) and valve (7) in housing (1) as shown.3. Install O-ring seals (6) and (8) in cover (5).4. Put the cover in position on the housing, and install the six screws that hold it in place.END BY:a. install governor control valve.
