By using the Ethernet, multiple users of the UPS View Software can monitor the operation of the UPS simultaneously.Internet Interface
Using the Ethernet, the Cat UPS allows the user to monitor the system operation over the Internet, using a Local Area Network (LAN).
Network monitoring requires an IP address that is statically assigned to the UPS.
Internet monitoring requires a LAN connection to the Internet.E-mail Notification
Ethernet Connection enables e-mail messages to be broadcast to all people on the receipt list at one time for all "Notice" events and all "Alarm" events. The e-mail messages contain the following information: UPS model, serial number, physical location, and the triggering event E-mail messages are broadcast to all recipients.
E-mail requires the "Remote Notification" option and a connection to a LAN with an SMTP e-mail server.UPS View Software
Illustration 1 g01833414UPS View is an optional software package used for monitoring UPS data. UPS View tracks more than 150 operating parameters of the UPS system in real time. UPS View displays the parameters on a computer display.UPS View is compatible with Windows operating systems, and includes capabilities for a remote notification, historical plots, logged events, expandable windows, and system diagnostics.UPS View connects to the UPS750 via an Ethernet connect on either the APC3 or CIO boards. The CIO can be connected to the network of the customer if the customer provides a static IP address for communicating to the UPS (Modbus-TCP and/or UPS View).The CIO ships with the same IP address as the UPS.
