Use a strap type wrench to remove the oil filter. Dispose of the used oil filter properly.
Remove all of the used gasket from the filter mounting base.

Apply clean hydraulic oil to the gasket of the new oil filter.
Install the new filter by hand.Instructions for the installation of the filters are printed on the side of each Caterpillar spin-on filter. For non-Caterpillar filters, refer to the installation instructions that are provided by the supplier of the filter.
Close the rear bottom access panel .
Operate the machine for a few minutes. Check for leaks. Check the oil level of the hydraulic oil tank.ReferenceRefer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic Oil Level - Check" for the correct procedure.
