Removal Procedure
Remove the floorplate.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Disconnect the following components from hydraulic oil cooler bypass valve (6) : hose assembly (1), hose assemblies (3) and hose assemblies (4) .
Remove bolts (5). Remove hydraulic oil cooler bypass valve (6) from the mounting plate.
Remove control valve assembly (2) and the gasket from the hydraulic oil cooler bypass valve.Installation Procedure
Reference: Refer to Specifications, "Cooler Bypass Valve" in the Service Manual for your machine.

Install the gasket and control valve assembly (2) in hydraulic oil cooler bypass valve (6). Tighten the control valve assembly to a torque of 160 20 N m (120 15 lb ft).
Position hydraulic oil cooler bypass valve (6) on the mounting plate. Install bolts (5) .
Connect the following components to hydraulic oil cooler bypass valve (6) : hose assembly (1), hose assemblies (3) and hose assemblies (4) .
Install the floorplate.
