Install gland (17) to tube (18) .

Use Tooling (A) to position the front suspension cylinder, as shown. Attach Tooling (B) to the gland and tube (18) , as shown. Secure a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B) . Secure the lifting device to a hoist. Lower tube (18) and the gland in the housing assembly. The weight of the tube and gland is approximately 35 kg (77 lb).

Install Tooling (C) to rod assembly (16) . Secure Tooling (C) to a suitable hoist and install rod assembly (16) . The weight of rod assembly (16) is approximately 139 kg (306 lb).

Remove Tooling (C) . Install Tooling (D) to rod assembly (16) . Use Tooling (D) in order to locate rod assembly (16) past the lip seal in the bottom of the housing assembly.Note: Ease rod assembly (16) in the housing assembly until the recess for the ball is above the horizontal surface of the housing assembly.

Install ball (15) to rod assembly (16) .

Install ring (14) to the piston.

Install piston (13) on the rod assembly. Install bolts (12) that hold piston (13) to the rod assembly. Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 135 20 N m (100 15 lb ft).
Apply a thin coat of Tooling (E) on the surface of Housing Assembly (X) .

Install backup ring (11) and O-ring seal (10) to head (8) .

Install head (8) to the front suspension cylinder.
Install valve assemblies (6) and (9) and the O-ring seals to head (8) . Tighten valve assemblies (6) and (9) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft). If the cap was removed, install the cap to valve assemblies (6) and (9) . Tighten each of the caps to a torque of 4.25 0.85 N m (37.6 7.5 lb in).

Install O-ring seal (5) to the underside of cover assembly (3) .

Use socket head bolts to install payload pressure sensor (4) to the front suspension cylinder.
Install cover assembly (3) , and bolts (2) .
Fill the lower cavity with Tooling (F) at the grease fitting.

Remove front suspension cylinder (1) from Tooling (A) . The weight of front suspension cylinder (1) is approximately 369 kg (814 lb).End By: Install the front suspension (cylinder). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Front Suspension (Cylinder) - Install".
