PROBLEM
Welds extending into no weld zones along the LH bottom rail of the frame of certain 795F Off-Highway Trucks can cause cracking into the frame. These cracks initiate out of the lower fuel tank mount and brake accumulator mount.

ACTION REQUIRED
Remove components and hardware as required to access the welds. Inspect the brackets (arrows) and surrounding areas for any cracks. Use dye penetrant (PT) or magnetic particle (MT) to identify the extent and/or length of the
necessary repair.
Record a description of the location and length of all cracks found in this area. This information must be included in the comments section of the claim. Report "No cracks found" if no cracks are found.
TIG dress the welds around the accumulator and fuel tank mounting brackets if no cracks are found. Use the procedure outlined in REHS9530 "Procedure to Inspect and Repair the Frame Around the Plate Assembly for the Brake Accumulator and the Support for the Fuel Tank on Certain 795F AC Off-Highway Trucks".
If a partial through thickness crack is found, excavate completely and repair as outlined in REHS9530.
Contact the 795F AC Service Engineer for guidance if the crack(s) extend through the plate thickness. Pictures will be required to determine the correct path for a repair.
Removal of the truck body is not allowed in the program.
