When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.

PROBLEM
The existing connecting rod bolt can fail in certain C175 applications.
ACTION REQUIRED
Remove all 290-2541 Connecting Rod Bolts in dealer parts stock.
For 316-0062, 316-0063, 376-4938, 376-4939, 417-7902, and 417-7903 Connecting Rod Assemblies in dealer parts stock, order six 428-7386 Bolts for each connecting rod assembly.
The new 428-7386 Bolt has elastomer rings bonded to the shank of the bolt. The 428-7386 Bolt requires special care to avoid damage during assembly. Due to contamination and assembly concerns with the bolt, do NOT replace the currently installed 290-2541 Bolts with the new 428-7386 Bolts in the rod assemblies until the connecting rod is installed in an engine. Securely place the 428-7386 Bolts in the connecting rod packaging to avoid damage and to ensure they are available when the rod assembly is put into service. Mark the package to indicate that the connecting rod assembly has been inspected according to this program and return the connecting rod assembly to dealer parts stock.
Follow the Specification Manual on SIS Web for assembly instructions when the connecting rod assembly is put into service.

SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all parts removed or worked from dealer parts stock.A quantity of six 428-7386 bolts will be allowed for each connecting rod assembly in dealer parts stock.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
