The original article has been revised to update the effective serial numbers.Description of Change: The new exhaust shield assemblies reduce the heat exposure to the valve cover seals.Adaptable To: The new 441-1501 Shield As and 437-0294 Shield As are adaptable back to first production of the serial numbers listed above. Refer to Table 2 for the effective serial numbers.

Left-hand side spacer install (1) 3L-0593 Spacers

Left-hand side heat shield install (2) 437-0294 Shield As (3) 1B-9575 Bolts (4) 3E-4352 Hard Washers
Install exhaust shield assembly (1) onto the left-hand side of the engine. Install three spacers (1) under shield (2). Attach the exhaust shield assembly to the valve cover base using three bolts (3) and three washers (4) .

Install exhaust shield assembly (5) onto the right-hand side of the engine. Install three spacers (1) under heat shield (5). Attach the exhaust shield assembly to the valve cover base using three bolts (3) and three washers (4) .
