4. Remove bonnet (1) and gaskets. 5. Remove seal (2) and clean gasket surfaces of the bonnet. 6. Remove four bolts that fasten elbows (4) and (5) to the engine oil cooler. Remove engine oil cooler (3). 7. Remove adapter (6) from the engine oil cooler (3) and remove the seals from the adapter. 8. Clean the tube bundles in the engine oil cooler with a 3.2 mm (.125 in.) diameter rod (7).Install Engine Oil Cooler
Inspect all seals and gaskets and make any replacements if necessary. Put oil on all seals before installation. 1. Install seals (2) on the adapter and install the adapter in the engine oil cooler (1). 2. Put engine oil cooler (1) in position and install four bolts to fasten the engine oil cooler to elbows. 3. Install seal (3) on bonnet (4). 4. Install bonnet (4) and gasket in position between the engine and transmission oil coolers. Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 55 7 N m (41 5 lb.ft.).5. Fill the radiator and the crankcase to the specified levels.6. Install front crankcase guard.
