Open the access door on the platform behind the cab.

Remove six bolts (1) and the washers from the filter housing.
Remove cover (2) from the housing. Be careful not to damage the seal and the ring when the cover is removed.
Remove the filter screen from the housing.
Wash the filter screen in a clean, nonflammable solvent. Allow the screen to dry.
Clean the filter housing base.

Inspect cover seal (4) and ring (3). Replace the seal and the ring, if necessary.Note: The seals must be installed correctly if the seals are being replaced. The square ring should be installed near the larger end of the cover.
Install the clean filter screen and the filter cover.
Install the bolts and washers.
