Preparation for Installation
Park the machine on a level surface.
Install the swing lock pins and the steering lock.
Position the harvester head in the TILT UP position. Lower the harvester head to the ground by lowering the boom and the stick.
Turn the boom switch to the OFF position. Turn off the Computer Aided Bucking System.
Shut off the engine.
It is possible for the frame of the harvester head to fall when it is parked in the vertical position. To avoid personal injury or death and equipment damage, wrap a chain around one leg of the frame and one leg of the yoke. Secure the chain in an appropriate manner.
Install the chain around the harvester head and the yoke. This is done in order to prevent the harvester head from falling if a hydraulic cylinder should fail.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

On certain harvester heads, a protection plate may be installed on the harvester head near the saw motor. If the plate is installed, remove the plate from the harvester head. Refer to illustration 2.Installation Procedure on HH55 and HH65 Harvester Heads

Assemble the guard. Refer to illustration 3 and table 1.

Fit saw motor guard assembly (A) onto the frame of the harvester head. Refer to illustration 4 and illustration 5.
Mark the locations of the through slots of saw motor guard assembly (A) on the frame of the harvester head.
On certain harvester heads, three holes need to be drilled and tapped for a M10 bolt. The fourth hole on the harvester head frame may already exist as a slot.Note: Refer to illustration 3 for the location of the fourth slot (X1) on saw motor guard assembly (A). On other harvester heads,
