Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

Install ring (9) to rotator (7) .

Typical example
Attach Tooling (A), appropriate lifting chains, and a hoist to upper housing (5). The weight of the hydraulic rotator is 592 kg (1305 lb). Lift the rotator into position on the work tool.

Apply 155-0695 Thread Lock Compound to 36 bolts (6) that secure hydraulic rotator (7) to lower housing (8). Install the bolts and the washers. Tighten the bolts in a cross pattern. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 530 70 N m (391 52 lb ft).

Install the two O-ring seals to two flanges (3) and place the flanges into position on swivel (1). Install the two O-ring seals to the two hose assemblies and place the hoses into position on the flanges. Install the eight bolts, the washers, and four half flanges (2) that secure the hoses.
Place lock plate (4) into position on swivel (1). Ensure that the locking tab on the plate is resting between the tabs on the lower housing. Install the six bolts and the washers that secure the plate to the swivel.End By: Install the gerotor motors. Refer to Service Manual, "Gerotor Motor - Install".
