Information:

9. Remove flange (3) from spindle (2). Use care when removing flange (3) to prevent steel balls of ball bearing (15) from dropping and scattering. Flange (3) comes out along with the three outer races of tapered roller bearings (16) and the inner race of ball bearing (15). 10. Put match marks on flange (3) and spindle (2) with a oil paint marker so that they can be reassembled properly. The three threaded holes in spindle (2) for the reamer bolts and three reamer bolt holes in flange (3) are machined together. If necessary, replace spindle (2) and flange (3) in pairs. (A pair of them is called the spindle kit.) 11. Pick 46 steel balls of ball bearing (15) out of hub (1). 12. Using a flat bar lever and steel rod (special tools), remove the outer race of ball bearing (15) from hub (1). Put the steel rod on gear B (5). Insert the tip of the flat bar lever under the outer race, and prise the race just a little with the steel rod used as the fulcrum. Carry on this levering all around to force the outer race gradually and gently off hub (1). 13. Remove the outer races of tapered roller bearings (16) from flange (3). 14. Remove the inner race of ball bearing (15) from flange (3) with a pin punch and hammer. Remove the inner race only when it is replaced. Removing gear assembly1. Remove the gear assembly from hub (1). To remove the gear assembly, hold the end of crankshaft (9) and lift it up.
As a rule, do not disassemble the gear assembly. Disassembly and reassembly of the gear assembly will reduce its performance.
2. Remove the three outer races of tapered roller bearings (16) from spindle (2). The gear oil film between the outer race of tapered roller bearing (16) and spindle (2) may make it difficult to remove the outer race. In such a case, slightly strike spindle (2) at the center of the hole with the aluminum rod to break the film. This will make it easier to remove the outer races.3. Remove 36 pins (12) from hub (1). Unclamping1. Turn the travel motor upside down.2. Remove the two clamps. Removing spindle (2)1. Place a clean vessel under the travel motor.2. Run two eye bolts into two threaded holes in spindle (2), 180° apart.3. Hitch a lifting sling to the eye bolts through shackles. Using a crane, lift and remove spindle (2) from hub (1) while supporting spindle (2) by hand to prevent it from colliding with hub (1). Use care when lifting spindle (2) to prevent steel balls of ball bearing (15) from dropping and being lost. 4. Remove distance piece (10) from hub (1).5. Remove O-ring (21) from hub (1). Removing outer race of ball bearing (15)1. Turn the travel motor upside down.2. Remove the outer race of ball bearing (15) from hub (1) by tapping the outer race with a pin punch and hammer. Remove
