Apply 7M-7456 Compound to the threads of taperlock stud (7) prior to installation. Install oil filter shield (8), drive screw (9), and taperlock stud (7) to fuel filter base assembly (2). Tighten taperlock stud (7) to a torque of 68 7 N m (50 5 lb ft). Repeat this procedure for the remaining fuel filter base assembly.

Install four O-ring seals (6) to fuel filter base assemblies (3) and (2) .

Install four bolts (5), the washers, and the nuts that hold fuel filter base assembly (2) to fuel filter base assembly (3) .

Position pump adapter (1) to fuel filter base assemblies (2) and (3), as shown. Install four bolts (4) and the washers that hold pump adapter (1) to fuel filter base assemblies (2) and (3) .End By: Install the fuel filter base. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Filter (Secondary) and Fuel Filter Base - Install" for the correct procedure.
