THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Open the hood.

Use Tooling (B) to remove filter (1). Disconnect hose assemblies (2), (3), (4), and (5) .

Disconnect harness assembly (6). Remove nuts (7) .

Remove bolts (8) and bracket (9) .

Disconnect harness assembly (10). Use Tooling (A) to remove hose (11) .

Disconnect harness assemblies (13) and (14). Remove hose assemblies (12) and (15) .

Remove bolts (18). Remove unit injector hydraulic pump (19) .
