B 1P-0510 Driver Gp 1 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

Use Tooling (B) in order to install shaft seal (16). Install shaft seal (16) into housing (2). Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (15).

Install O-ring seal (14) onto housing (2). Repeat for the opposite side of housing (2).

Install seal (12) and backup seal (13) onto bearing assembly (7).

Install seal (10) and backup seal (11) onto bearing assembly (9).

Install bearing assembly (7) onto gear assemblies (6) and (8). Install bearing assembly (9) onto gear assemblies (6) and (8).

Position gear assemblies (5) into housing (2). Install base (1), cover (3), and bolts (4) onto housing (2). Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 140 10 N m (105 7 lb ft). Note: Make sure that you orient gear assemblies (5) into housing (2). End By:
Install the charge pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Charge) - Install".
