Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before operating any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.After collecting all fluids in suitable containers, dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, clean all parts thoroughly in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause damage after prolonged operation. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install three seal assemblies (8) to the rotor.
Install two seals (7) and two rings (6). There is a ring and a seal at each end of the rotor.
Lubricate the sealing lips of the seals with clean hydraulic oil.

Use a hydraulic press or a rubber mallet to install rotor (5) onto stator (4). Use care when you assemble the swivel in order to avoid damage to the seals.

Place ring (2) and locking plate (1) into position on swivel (3). Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of the three bolts that secure the plate and the ring. Install the bolts and stake the tabs of the locking plate against the bolts.End By: Install the swivel to the work tool. Refer to Service Manual, "Swivel - Install".
