Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before operating any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.After collecting all fluids in suitable containers, dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, clean all parts thoroughly in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause damage after prolonged operation. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install three seal assemblies (7) to rotor (3). Lubricate the seals with clean hydraulic oil.Note: Apply clean grease to two bearings (2) .
If necessary, install two bearings (2). Lower the temperature of the bearings and place the bearings into position on rotor (3). Use an appropriate sized driver and a hammer in order to set the bearings.
Use a hydraulic press or a rubber mallet to install rotor (3) onto stator (1). Use care when you assemble the swivel in order to avoid damage to the seals.
Place ring (4) and locking plate (6) into position on stator (1) .
Apply Tooling (B) to four bolts (5). Install the bolts to the swivel. Use a hammer and a punch in order to stake the tabs of locking plate (6) against the bolts.End By: Install the swivel to the work tool. Refer to Service Manual, "Swivel - Install".
