Typical Example1. Disconnect the tie rods from arm (1). See Remove And Install Tie Rods.2. The weight of arm (1) is approximately 165 kg (360 lb). Put tool (A) in position as shown.3. Remove two bolts (3), lock (2) and pin (4). Remove arm (1) from the machine.
Typical Example4. Use tooling (B) as shown, and remove bearing (6). Turn tooling (B) upside down and remove bearing (5).Install Steering Arm
Typical Example1. Lower the temperature of the upper bearing. Install the upper bearing with tooling (B).2. Lower the temperature of the lower bearing. Use tooling (B) to install the lower bearing.
Typical Example3. Put arm (1) in position with tool (A) as shown.4. Align slot (9) in pin (4) with lock (2). Install pin (4), lock (2) and the bolts that hold them.5. Connect the tie rods to the steering arm. See the topic, Remove And Install Tie Rods.
