Information:
1. Release the pressure in air spring (1).2. Using tool (A), a nylon strap and a hoist or a nylon strap and a vehicle with forks, raise the bogie suspension.3. Remove bolts (3), and use two persons to remove four outer and four inner rollers (2) from the bogie suspension. The weight of the each roller is 30 kg (65 lb). Place wood blocks under axle assemblies to prevent excessive stretching of air spring (1). 4. Remove four bolts (5) and the washers, and remove track roller guard (4). 5. Fasten a nylon strap around axle assembly (7) to the fork of a lift truck as shown. Lift up on axle assembly (7) to compress air spring (1). Remove four nuts (6) and the washers, and lower axle assembly (7). Remove air spring (1). After removing air spring (1) the wood blocks can be removed from under axle assembly (8). 6. Remove two bolts (9) and washers (10) from the inside of axle assembly (8). 7. Install a 102 x 102 mm (4 x 4 in) wood block (12) between the arm assemblies on the bogie suspension as shown. Install tool (B) to hold the wood block in place.8. Install a wood block under axle assembly (8) as shown.9. Support axle assembly (7) with the fork on a lift truck, and remove pin (11) with a hammer and punch. Repeat this procedure for the pin in axle assembly (8). Lower axle assemblies (7) and (8) onto the belt. 10. Remove three bolts (13) and plate (14).11. Remove grease fitting (15). 12. Fasten tool (C) to axle support (16) as shown.13. Put a thin coat of clean oil on the entire outside surface of tool (C). 14. Slide arm assembly (17) out on tool (C) until it is clear of the belt. If the arm assembly will not move on to tool (C), loosen tool (B) a slight amount.15. Fasten nylon straps and a hoist to arm assembly (17), and remove it from tool (C). The weight of the arm assembly is 102 kg (225 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the bogie suspensions.16. Put a thin coat of clean oil on the entire outside surface of tool (C).17. Fasten a nylon strap and a hoist to arm assembly (17). Slide the arm assembly in place on tool (C). Remove the hoist and nylon strap from the arm assembly. Push the arm assembly into place on the axle support.18. Reinstall grease fitting (15) and plate (14) on the end of the axle support.19. Put axle assembly (7) in position in arm assembly (17). Install pin (11) that holds it in place. Install two washers (10) and bolts (9) that hold pin (11) in place. Lubricate the pin joint with 5P0960 Multipurpose Grease.20. Repeat Step 19 for the installation of axle assembly (8).21. Support the rear of the bogie suspension with a fork on a lift truck. Remove tool (B) and wood block (12) from arm
