Information:

66. Splined weight shaft (28) in position.67. Apply a 3/8" bead of 4C5300 Sealant to the sealing face of the right outer drum housing. The procedure shows the gearbox and vibratory plate attached to the right outer bearing housing. It was determined that it is a better process to install the gearbox and vibratory plate after the right bearing housing is installed and then continue with the procedure. If only the right bearing housing is installed, then the end play should be checked out. See Step 83 after Step 73 for specifications of the weight shaft end play. This could save time, if coupling hub and the housing were also mounted they would also have to be removed to add or subtract shim.68. Attach Tool (H) and Tool (J) to right bearing plate assembly (33) (vibration side).69. Slide right bearing plate assembly (33) (vibration side) onto guide pins (4). Align the marks left on the right bearing plate assembly (33) (vibration side) and the right outer drum housing during the disassembly procedure.70. Start two bolts (5) and washers. Apply 9S6263 Thread Lock to eight bolts (5) before installation.71. Remove two guide pins (4).
Be sure right bearing plate assembly (33) is secured by two bolts (5) before removing Tool (H) and (J) or personal injury could occur.
72. Complete installation of eight bolts (5), including the two bolts already started. 73. Tighten eight bolts (5) to a torque 366 N m (266 lb ft).
Rear view of drive plate (35) (propel side).74. Eight studs (34) are pressed in drive plate (35) (propel side) for the mounting of the propel motor.
Front view of drive plate (35) (propel side).75. If drive plate (35) (propel side) was disassembled for any reason, eight nuts and washers (36) mount propel motor (37) to drive plate (35) (propel side). 76. If plate assembly (38) was disassembled for any reason, position plate assembly (38) to the flange of propel motor (37). Install sixteen bolts (39), washers and nuts. All fittings (40) (not all are shown) on propel motor (37) will be installed after plate assembly (38) is mounted on propel motor (37). 77. Grease shaft (41).78. Place woodruff key (42) (not shown) onto shaft (41). 79. Place hub (43) to shaft (41).80. Place washer (44).81. Install nut (45). Tighten the nut to a torque of 205 N m (150 lb ft).82. Set Tool (K) on face of splined weight shaft (28).83. Push hub (43) in and out to check splined weight shaft (28) end play. Repeat Step 61 through Step 83 that apply to the assembly procedure of splined weight shaft (28) to establish correct end play if not within specifications. Splined weight shaft (28) end play is to be 1.14 to 2.54 mm (.050 to .100 in). Add shim or shims as needed. Recheck to be sure end play is within specifications. 84. Slide element (46) onto hub (43).85. Adjust pulse pickup (47) to a minimum of 0.51 mm (.020 in). 86. Apply 8T9014 Sealant to
