(7) Standby switch
(8) Cruise control switchThe upper operator control panels are equipped with standby switch (7) and cruise control switch (8). Each switch has associated indicator (6) The upper left operator control panel is shown in the illustration above.Standby switch (7) allows the operator to pause machine operation without loosing the current machine speed setting. When the standby function is active, the indicator next to each standby switch is illuminated. The transmission ECM ramps the machine speed to zero when the machine is placed in the standby mode. The operator can release the machine from the standby mode with a single actuation of a standby switch. The transmission ECM ramps the machine speed back to the previous operating speed when the standby mode is released.Cruise control switch (8) allows the operator to store a desired forward speed and later return to that speed with a single action. The cruise control value defaults to"0" after a key cycle.Note: The cruise control feature only operates in the forward travel direction. Any cruise control request while in neutral or reverse are ignored. To set cruise speed, the desired forward machine speed is selected, then the operator must hold cruise control switch (8) for 2 seconds. When a cruise speed has been set and stored, the indicator next to each cruise control switch is illuminated. The operator can reset the cruise speed to zero by actuating a cruise control switch for 2 seconds. When cruise control is engaged, the operator can override cruise speed and return to the normal propel control by moving a propel lever to change speed. When cruise speed is overridden in this manner, actuation of cruise control switch (8) returns the machine to cruise speed. If the machine is stopped, the stored cruise speed is resumed by reestablishing forward travel and pressing a cruise control switch.

(12) "On" selectionThe machine control system is programmed with load-control logic. This logic limits machine speed when the machine is under load to maintain optimum engine speed. The following table summarizes the setpoint for each corresponding desired engine speed.

The load-control function can be temporarily disabled on the"Load Control" screen of the operator display.Machine icon (9), settings icon (10), and load icon (11) are shown along the top of the"Load Control" screen. These icons show the path that the operator must take to arrive at the"Load Control" screen.

(15) Parking-brake-release switchThe machine control system is programmed with tow-mode logic. This logic allows the operator to release the parking brakes so the machine can be towed. The hydraulic pump that is part of the auxiliary power unit provides the oil used to release the brakes. The following parameters must be met to release the parking brakes using this logic:
The engine must not be operating.
