Information:
6V3116 Adapter Group is available for testing all sleeve metering fuel systems on the Caterpillar fuel injection test bench. The group is a direct replacement for the former 3P1551 Adapter Group, which is canceled.
The group has two new drive adapter assemblies, the 6V2107 Drive Adapter Assembly and the 6V2110 Drive Adapter Assembly. These two assemblies together are a direct replacement for the former 3P1552 Drive Adapter Assembly which was part of the former adapter group.
It is possible that the former drive adapter assembly permitted tension, caused by the flexible coupling, to be put on the camshaft. This tension is a possible cause of camshaft thrust surface failures on 3208 Sleeve Metering Fuel Systems.
