Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the power adjuster motor group (extender height). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Adjusted Motor Group (Extender Height) - Remove".
Remove the power crown. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Power Crown - Remove".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Remove bolt (20), pin (8), bolts (21), and cover (7) from housing (1) .
Remove bolts (22), motor (10), gasket (9), and gasket (6) from cover (7) .
Remove bushing (5), bushing (18), and bushing (19) from cover (7) .
Remove thrust bearing race (16) and thrust bearing race (17) from powerhead assembly (4) .
Remove gear shaft (3) and idler shaft (15) from housing (1). Remove powerhead assembly (4) from the housing.
Remove bushing (2), bushing (12), bushing (14), and bearing (13) from housing (1) .
Remove dowel pins (11) from housing (1) .
