ACTION REQUIRED
Plug the two holes in the belly pan/bottom guard that would allow trash into the engine compartment. Refer to Image1 and Image2.
Fabrication of necessary parts is required.
Refer to the attached Rework Procedure.

This is a 2.0-hour job
$250 US dollars will be allowed for materials used to fabricate the two plates, welding operation of the two plates, and painting of the two plates and frame.
PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Fabricate two plates as shown in Images1.1.1, 1.1.2, and 1.1.3.

2. Disassemble the 284-1270 Rear Bottom Guard. Refer to Images 1.2.1. and the disassembly and assembly manual for your machine, for additional information.
3. Clean any mud and/or any debris from the engine compartment.

4. Turn off the disconnect switch.
5. Weld the two fabricated plates on each side of the frame. Refer to Image1.3.1 and 1.3.2.

6. Ensure that the two welded plates are not interfering with the bottom guard. Refer to Image 1.4.1.
7. Repaint each side of the frame and reassemble the bottom guard.
