1. Loosen two nuts (2) and remove bolt (1) from the belt tension rod. 2. Loosen three bolts (3). Remove the belt from the air conditioner compressor. 3. Disconnect two lines (4) from the rear of the compressor. 4. Disconnect clamp (6) and connectors (5) from the compressor. 5. Remove three bolts (7). Remove air conditioning compressor from vehicle.Install Air Conditioning Compressor

1. Install the compressor (1) in position in vehicle. Install the three bolts. Do not tighten the bolts until the drive belt is installed and adjusted. 2. Install the clip and the electrical connectors (2) on the compressor terminals. 3. Connect discharge and suction hoses (3) to the discharge and suction ports on the compressor. 4. Install the belt (4) in position on the compressor. 5. Put tension adjustment rod (5) in position on the alternator bracket. Tighten the belt to a tension on the gauge of 90 10. Use a belt tension gauge like Part No. BT-33-72C from Borroughs Tool Company or a similar gauge. If a new belt is used, tighten the tension to a gauge indication of 120 5. Operate the engine for approximately 30 minutes. Then adjust the tension of the belt to a gauge indication of 90. Evacuate the system, charge the system and do a performance check to be sure of correct system operation.
