Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Cylinder Liner Projection" topic in order to check the cylinder liner projection.

Apply Tooling (C) to the new liner seal (2). Install liner seal (2) in the machined groove on cylinder liner (1) .
Position cylinder liner (1) in the cylinder block. Use Tooling (B) to press the cylinder liner in place.End By: Install the pistons and connecting rods. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston and Connecting Rods - Install".
