Information:


At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is stopped, and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.
1. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system by slowly loosening the fill cap located on top of the hydraulic oil tank.2. Drain the hydraulic oil from the fuel/hydraulic oil tank. The capacity of the hydraulic oil portion of the tank is 55 liters (14.5 U.S. gal).
At operating temperature, the engine cooling system is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap and radiator are cool enough to touch with the bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
3. Release the pressure in the cooling system by slowly loosening the fill cap on the radiator.4. Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container. The capacity of the cooling system is 25.7 liters (6.25 U.S. gal). 5. Open the engine access door on the right side of the machine.6. Disconnect hose assembly (2) from steering pump (1). Cap and plug immediately. 7. Disconnect hose assembly (3) from steering pump (1). Cap and plug immediately. 8. Remove bolt (5). Loosen the nut that fastens dipstick assembly (4) to the oil pan. Remove the dipstick assembly.9. Remove bolt (7). Disconnect tube (6) from the hydraulic oil cooler. Loosen hose clamp (9), and remove tube (6) from the engine oil cooler.10. Disconnect hose assembly (8) from steering pump (1). Cap and plug immediately. 11. Remove bolt (10) and five bolts (11), and remove steering pump (1) and the gasket from the engine. After the steering pump has been installed, fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. Fill the hydraulic oil tank to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedures. For installation of the steering pump, reverse the removal steps.Disassemble & Assemble Steering Pump
Start By:a. remove steering pump 1. Remove nut (1), and remove gear (2) and the woodruff key from the drive gear. When installing, tighten the nut (1) to a torque of 50 to 54 N m (37 to 40 lb ft). 2. Remove four bolts (3), and remove end cap (4) from the housing. 3. Remove plug (5), spring (7) and priority valve spool (6) from end cap (4). Remove O-ring seal (8) from plug (5). Check the O-ring seal for damage or wear and replace if necessary. 4. Remove flange (9) from housing (10) and the drive gear. 5. Remove retaining ring (12), and remove lip-type seal (11) from flange (9). 6. Remove back-up seal (13) and seal (18) from both sides of housing (10).7. Remove drive gear (14), driven gear (17) and bushings (19) and (20) from housing
