To ensure that the machine?s hydraulic functionsmatch the descriptions in the Operation and Maintenance Manual, the followingsteps should be taken.
Enter the machine and sit in the operator?s seat.Examine the joystick controls in the machine. Identify the joystick handleconfiguration on your machine and the corresponding former decal graphicshown in Illustrations 1 and 2 or Illustrations 3 and 4. Views are referencedas if the operator is sitting in the seat.

Order the appropriate "new" decals that matchthe machine?s joystick configuration. Reference to Illustrations 1 and2 or to Illustrations 3 and 4. Note that the 233-5734 and 237-5331 decalsfor the left hand control do not need to be replaced.
Remove the existing joystick control decals. Besure to clean the surface before installing the replacement decals. A 50:50mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol or a solution of clean water andliquid soap (1-3 drops of soap per liter of water) should be an adequatecleaning agent.
Machines equipped with side windowswill require the lower side windows to be removed in order to access thedecals. Reference the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Maintenance Section,Windows-Clean".
Install the appropriate replacement decals inthe operator compartment.
Locate the Operation and Maintenance Manual storagebox. Remove the manual from the storage box.

Cut the 5P-7957 lanyard just behind the 5P-7958sleeve. See Illustration 5.
Remove the Operation and Maintenance Manual [S_BU7731(SSL) or S_BU7732 (MTL)] and discard.
Install replacement Operation and MaintenanceManual, S_BU7731-02 (SSL) or S_BU7732-03 (MTL),or later manual revision levels as appropriate.
Secure the new manual using the existing lanyardand new 5P-7958 sleeve. See Illustration 5.
10) Locate the machine Data Link connector locatedin the operator compartment.11) Reflash the Auxiliary Hydraulic ECM.
