Travel Hydraulic System (1) Main control valve (2) Travel motor (3) Pilot manifold (4) TransmissionWhen the travel pedal is depressed for either FORWARD or REVERSE travel, pilot oil shifts the travel control valve in main control valve (1) to direct main pump supply oil to travel motor (2) .Depending on the speed that is selected, pilot manifold (3) that contains the transmission shift control and the parking brake control will direct pilot oil in order to release one of the transmission clutches.Both transmission clutches are spring engaged. Mechanical power from the travel motor (2) is directed into transmission (4). Transmission (4) directs the power to the front axle and the rear axle.When the travel pedal is pressed fully forward and the pressure switch under the pedal is engaged, the machine is put into "Travel Mode".

(2) Travel motor (4) TransmissionThe travel system consists of the following components: travel motor (2), transmission (4) and two drive axles.Travel motor (2) is equipped with a separate travel brake valve. The two-speed transmission is equipped with two multiple disc clutches which are individually spring applied and hydraulically released.Transmission (4) has a separate downshift inhibitor that prevents the transmission from being downshifted if the travel speed is above a certain speed.There are two drive axles. One of the drive axles is a fixed drive axle. The other drive axle is a steerable drive axle. Each drive axle consists of a differential gear, individual multiple disc brakes and planetary final drives.The rear axle is a fixed drive axle. The front axle is a steerable drive axle. The front axle has two universal joints in the drive axles in order to allow full power to each of the wheels during turns.

(3) Pilot manifold (5) Transmission solenoid valve (6) Manual override of transmission solenoid valveTransmission solenoid valve (5) routes pilot oil in order to release either the high speed clutch or the low speed clutch in the transmission. Manual override (6) of transmission solenoid valve (5) permits manual operation of the transmission shift.
