The following are actions to be taken when an error is found during operation of the triple-pump assembly.General precautions:(1) Think before taking any action. Carefully judge the nature of the error before work is started. Locate the cause deciding whether the error is caused by a defect or trouble in circuits, regulator or valve. Again, check whether the cause is actually in the triple-pump assembly.(2) Use care to prevent entry of dust or dirt, even if disassembly is made only partially.(3) Handle precision-build parts with care and use care to prevent damage to them.Pump drive assembly(1) Pump drive assembly is fitted with pump and regulator. Check the following points to locate any error. 1. Checking gear oil Remove gear oil from gear case and check that no metal particles or impurities are present. If any large or a quantity of metal particles are found, driven gears, drive gear or shaft may be defective.2. Checking unusual noise Check the gear case for unusual noise. If anything unusual (or vibration) is found, internal damage including gears may exist.1 Engine overload2 Unusual noise, unusual vibration3 Oil leakage4 Damage on gear by visual inspection
