Remove the pump head. Weight is approximately 99 kg (220 lb).

Install protective plates (A) on both pumps as protection for the barrels from any damage. Use oil or grease to hold the protective plates in position on the pump barrels. Keep the protective plates on the barrels at all times.

Remove port plates (10) and the four dowels from the pump head. Put identification on the port plates for correct installation.Installation Procedure

Use a piece of wire to clean oil holes (1) in the pump head.

Install the four dowels in the pump head (two for each port plate). Put clean grease on pump head (3) so the port plates are held in position during installation. Install port plates (2) in the original position on pump head (3) .
In addition to the grease, pieces of nylon string and pencils (4) can be used to hold the port plates on the pump head while the pump head is installed.

Install O-ring seals (5) and gasket (6) on the case. Remove protective plates (A) from the pump barrels.Note: The pump head must be installed in the horizontal position. Failure to install the pump head correctly can result in a misalignment of components.

Install two 1/2 - 13 inch forged eyebolts or Tooling (B) on the pump head and fasten a hoist.Note: Bolt (7) on illustration "g00729564" must be installed in the pump head before the pump head is installed on the case.
Put the pump head in position on the case. Weight is approximately 99 kg (220 lb). Remove the pencils and nylon string.
Install the remainder of the bolts that hold the pump head in place. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 110 7 N m (80 5 lb ft).Note: Make a rotation of the pump shafts as the head bolts are tightened.

Note: The hole with threads on pins (7) must be installed outward. The hole with threads is used to remove the pin.
Use a pry bar to hold the servo cylinder up so pin (7) can be installed. Install pin (7) in the head and through eye (8) of the servo cylinder. Install the pin in the eye of the other servo cylinder in the same way.

Check that the O-ring seals are in position on plugs (9). To hold the pins in place, install springs (10) and plugs (9) in both sides of the pump head.

Check that the O-ring seals are in position on caps (11), and put clean oil on the O-ring seals. Install caps (11) .
Install the keys for the levers. Install lever (14). Put levers (15) in position as a unit. Tighten bolts (12). Install the washer and the snap ring on shaft (13) .
