(1) Brake pedal and deceleration pedal

Push down on pedal (1) to prevent the machine from moving.
Move switch (3) downward to the DISENGAGED position.
Turn knob (4) to set the desired engine speed.Note: During machine operation, the brake pedal can be depressed totemporarily reduce engine speed.
Release pedal (1).
Move lever (2) for the desired direction.
Roll the wheel for the ground speed control to set the desired ground speed. The wheel for the ground speed control is on lever (2).
Drive the machine forward for best visibility and for best control.Changing Direction and Speed
For operator comfort and maximum service life of power train components, deceleration and/or braking is recommended before any directional shifts are made.
Speed changes and directional changes at full engine speed are possible. However, deceleration and/or braking is recommended when you change direction. This will maximize operator comfort and the service life of transmission components.
Push pedal (1) downward to reduce engine speed or put engine throttle control (4) into a lower engine speed.
Push pedal (1) downward past the detent spring to stop the machine.
When the machine slows, put steering and transmission control (2) into NEUTRAL first. Then, move steering and transmission control (2) past the detent to the desired direction.
Release pedal (1).
Roll the thumb wheel on steering and transmission control (2) to the right when a higher ground speed is desired.
Put engine throttle control (4) into a higher engine speed.Hydrostatic Drive Operating Principle
This machine has a hydrostatic drive system which transfers power from the engine to the tracks. The hydrostatic drive system eliminates the conventional type of transmission. The hydrostatic drive system does not use a bevel gear and a driveline. The hydrostatic drive system also eliminates the steering clutch and brake arrangement.In the simplest form, a hydrostatic drive system is a system which contains the following components: a hydraulic pump with a control system, a hydraulic motor and high pressure lines that carry oil between the components. The pump converts mechanical power to hydraulic power in the form of oil flow and oil pressure.To meet requirements, the machine must be able to move forward and rearward. The machine must also be able to turn. The pumps are designed to deliver varying flows of oil to either the forward side or the reverse side of the hydraulic motors.The track can be driven at varying speeds in either a forward direction or in a reverse direction.Since there are two tracks, there are two hydraulic pumps, two sets of hydraulic lines, and two hydraulic motors.For the forward modes or the reverse modes, the pumps and the motors work in conjunction with each other. The pumps can produce flow to either the forward side of the motors or to the reverse side of the motors.
