Illustration 7 g02052934Use only Ultralow Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel.The United States (U.S.) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) defines Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD - S15) as a U.S. diesel fuel with a sulfur content not to exceed 15 parts per million (ppm(mg/kg)) or 0.0015 percent by weight. Engines certified to nonroad Tier 4 standards (Stage IV in Europe) and are equipped with exhaust aftertreatment systems are designed to run on ULSD only. Use of LSD or fuels higher than 15 ppm (mg/kg) sulfur in these engines will reduce engine efficiency and engine durability and will damage emissions control systems and/or shorten the service interval. Failures that result form the use of fuels are not Cat factory defects. Therefore the cost of repairs would not be covered by a Cat warranty.Note: In Europe, diesel fuels that are identified as meeting "European Standard EN590:2004" requirements for ≤ 10 ppm sulfur fuel (typically referred to as “sulfur-free”) generally meet Cat requirements for ULSD fuel.Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for more information.Alternate Exit (5)

When the steering lever is moved with the transmission in NEUTRAL or in gear, and the engine is running, the machine will turn. Engage the parking brake in order to prevent machine movement.

Do not service the air conditioner system unless you are following the correct maintenance/repair procedures specified in the Service Manual.The air conditioning system on this machine contains the fluorinated greenhouse gas refrigerant R134a (Global Warming Potential = 1430). The system contains 1.3 kg of refrigerant which has a carbon dioxide equivalent 1.859 metric tonne. The lubricating oil type for this system is PAG (polyalkylene glycol) 4C-2959.Air Cleaner (9)

Do not turn off the battery disconnect switch until the indicator lamp has turned off. If the switch is turned off when the indicator lamp is illuminated the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system will not purge the DEF. If the DEF does not purge, DEF could freeze and damage the pump and lines.
