Engine performance complaints from the customer. Investigation found that the exhaust rocker arm insert is broken off flush at the rocker arm face.Solution
If a rocker arm foot failure occurs, replace all intake and exhaust rocker arm and shaft with new. Once new rocker arms are received, use a feeler gauge to measure the insert to rocker arm clearance. If a .001" feeler gauge cannot be pushed between the insert and rocker the rocker arm is good.
