Location of the 7V42 Bearing Cage and rings in a typical front differential and bevel gear.In the differential group, the housing assembly to which the bevel gear is fastened has increased thickness in specific areas of the casting. The casting thickness has been increased from 15.75 mm (.62") to 19.05 mm (.75") for extra strength to prevent cracks. See Illustration 2.
Also, anti-seize compound is used on the tie bolts that fasten the two housing assemblies together. Use of a good compound on the threads gives a reduction in friction. For this reason, the bolts will be tighter when tightened to the correct torque.
Adaptable To: The new parts are adaptable to all 992B Loaders.
