Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
Use the chart shown in Image1.1.1 to identify the parts in each of the other images in the rework procedure.

1) Lower the scraper cutting edge to the ground, park, and secure the machine. Turn off the main disconnect switch on the tractor and on the scraper.
2) On the tractor engine, remove the existing 278-4170 Guard.

3) Install the parts labeled as A and B as shown below. Note that the three 9X2125 Bolts have a special torque of 17 +/- 4 Nm. There is no further rework to complete on the tractor.

4) The rework on the scraper engine is next. On the rear engine, remove the finger guards from the rear engine fan. This will make room to install the new belt guards.
5) Also, remove the 227-3093 Guard Assembly and the 233-2498 Guard Assembly from the rear engine. They are identified in the image below.

6) Install the rest of the parts labeled as C, D, E, and F shown in the images below.

7) Place the 235-8180 Film, G, on the fan shroud surface as shown below.

8) When the new parts are installed, the finger guards shown in Image1.4.1 can be installed back on the machine.
