(1) Secondary filters for the fuel system
Remove two fuel filters (1) from the base. Discard two used fuel filters (1).
Clean the filter housing bases. Make sure that all of the old seals are removed.
Lubricate the sealing surfaces of two new fuel filters (1) with clean diesel fuel.
Install two fuel filters (1) by hand. Tighten two fuel filters (1) until the sealing surface contacts the bases. Tighten two fuel filters (1) for an additional 3/4 of a turn. There are rotation index marks on each fuel filter (1). These marks are spaced 90 degrees or 1/4 turn from each other. Use the marks as a guide when you tighten two fuel filters (1).
Prime the fuel system. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System - Prime".
