Remove bolts (1) and cover (2).

Remove O-ring seal (3).

Install Tooling (A) to axle shaft (4). Use Tooling (A) in order to pull axle shaft (4) outward for approximately 762 mm (30.0 inch).

Attach a suitable lifting device to axle shaft (4). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device to remove axle shaft (4). The weight of axle shaft (4) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).

Use Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining ring (5) from axle shaft (4).

Remove sun gear (6) and spacer (7) from axle shaft (4).
Repeat Step 1 through Step 7 for the remaining axle shafts. Installation Procedure

Install sun gear (6) and spacer (7) to axle shaft (4).

Use Tooling (B) in order to install retaining ring (5) to axle shaft (4).

Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) to axle shaft (4). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device to install axle shaft (4) for approximately 762 mm (30.0 inch). The weight of axle shaft (4) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).

Use Tooling (A) in order to fully install axle shaft (4). Remove Tooling (A).

Install O-ring seal (3).

Position cover (2) and install bolts (1).
Fill the final drive with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Differential and Final Drive Oil - Change".
Repeat Step 1 through Step 7 for the remaining axle shafts. End By:
Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
