Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Ensure that the gasket for the water line adapter and the O-ring seal on the water pump are in the correct position. Place clean engine oil on the O-ring seal.
Use Tooling (A) and attach a suitable lifting device to water pump (3). The weight of water pump (3) is approximately 22 kg (50 lb). Install water pump (3). Ensure that the splines on water pump (3) are correctly positioned. Install bolts (8) and (9).
Connect hose assembly (6) and install clip (7).

Place clean engine oil on the O-ring seals on tube assembly (1). Install tube assembly (1).
Install bolts (2) and the retainer on elbow (4).
Install elbow (4) on tube assembly (1). Install bolts (5) to water pump (3).
Fill the cooling system to the correct level with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
