Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the turbocharger.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".

Remove elbow assembly (4) .
Disconnect tube assembly (1) and tube assembly (5). Position tube assembly (1) out of the way of exhaust manifold (3) .
Remove nuts (2) and the washers.
Remove exhaust manifold (3) .Installation Procedure

Apply Tooling (A) to the studs prior to assembly. If necessary, install the studs and tighten to a torque of 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft).
Position exhaust manifold (3) on the engine.
Apply Tooling (A) to nuts (2). Install the washers and nuts (2). Tighten nuts (2) in a numerical sequence to a torque of 20 3 N m (15 2 lb ft). Tighten nuts (2) again in a numerical sequence to a torque of 38 5 N m (28 4 lb ft).
Connect tube assembly (1) and tube assembly (5) .
Install elbow assembly (4) .
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".End By: Install the turbocharger.
