The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects all of the following conditions:
The ECM reads a signal voltage that is above normal.
The ECM has been powered for at least fifteen seconds.
CID 262-03 5 Volt Sensor DC Power Supply voltage above normal and CID 262-04 5 Volt Sensor DC Power Supply voltage below normal are not active.System Response:The ECM will set the intake manifold pressure to a default value.The electronic service tool will display "Open/Short High" for the intake manifold pressure on the status screen.The ECM will generate a CID 102 FMI 03 diagnostic code on the data link. The diagnostic code will be displayed on a diagnostic screen of the electronic service tool.Possible Performance Effect:The engine could have low power while the diagnostic code is active.Test Step 1. Perform the following diagnostic procedure: "Engine Pressure Sensor Open or Short Circuit - Test"Results:
