Removal Procedure

Remove panels (1), (2), (3), and (4) .

Remove panels (5) and (6) .

Remove elbow (7) and brackets (8) and (9). Disconnect prop rod (10) .

Remove bolts (11), (12), (13), and (14) .

Use a pry bar to position bracket (15) away from the muffler by prying against bracket (17). Use vice grips to hold bracket (15) to shield (16), as shown.

Disconnect clamp (21) and remove clamps (19). Disconnect tube assembly (20) from the bottom of muffler (18). Remove muffler (18) .

Remove clamp (22) and disconnect pipe (23) from muffler (21) .Installation Procedure

Connect pipe (23) to muffler (21) and install clamp (22) .

Position muffler (18). Install clamps (19) and connect clamp (21). Connect tube assembly (20) to the bottom of muffler (18) .

Remove the pry bar and the vice grips. Reposition brackets (17) and (15) and shield (16) to the original positions.

Install bolts (11), (12), (13), and (14) .

Connect prop rod (10). Install brackets (8) and (9) and elbow (7).

Install panels (5) and (6) .
