Installation Procedure

Use a hoist and a suitable lifting device in order to position the spacer and the fan drive (13) on the engine. Install the bolts (11) in order to secure the fan drive.
Put V-belts (2) in position on the fan drive pulley.
Fill the cavity in adapter (12) with 2S-3230 Bearing Lubricant .
Care should be taken when installing the fan drive and adapter as a unit not to damage the radiator by allowing the blades of the fan to contact the radiator core.
Position adapter (12) and fan assembly (14) as a unit on the fan drive. Install bolts (15) in order to hold the fan drive in place.

Position guard assemblies (7) and (10) on the radiator, and install bolts (6). Install bolts (8) and plates (9) that hold the guard assemblies in place.
Position exhaust shield (5) on the exhaust elbow. Install the three spacers. Install the nuts. Install bolts (4) .Note: In order to adjust the tension on the V-belts, refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7001, "Fan and Alternator Belts".

Tighten bolts (1) and (3) .
Install the lower access panel that is located below the left side of the engine. Install the lower access panel that is located below the right side of the engine.End By: Install the fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Fan - Remove and Install".
