Remove the aftercooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Aftercooler - Remove".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the coolant into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

Remove bolts (1) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to refrigerant condenser (2). The weight of refrigerant condenser (2) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).
Remove bolts (3). Position refrigerant condenser (2) and the baffle out of the way.

Loosen clamps (5). Remove hose (4) .

Remove bolts (6) and bolts (8). Remove fan guards (7) .

Disconnect hose assembly (10). Remove bolts (9), bolts (11), and bolts (12).

Attach Tooling (A) to radiator tank (13). The weight of radiator tank (13) is approximately 55 kg (121 lb). Remove radiator tank (13) .

Remove seals (4) from radiator tank (13) .

Attach Tooling (B) to radiator core (15). The weight of radiator core (15) is approximately 28 kg (62 lb). Remove radiator core (15) .
