This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.
ACTION REQUIRED
This Service Letter covers the potentially affected machine population at dealers who have downloaded the defective 375-0593 Monitor Software Group and possibly installed it according to former Service Magazine SEPD1475.
This 375-0593 Software Group was released in SIS on July 25th 2012 and was available until August 20th 2012, when the improved 377-1879 Software Group was made available.
1. Check the monitor software group currently installed on the machine.
Note: All machines in this Service Letter population were built and shipped with an earlier monitor software group. Focus should be put on machines which had a service intervention after June 25th with the possibility that the mechanic had access to and flashed the defective 375-0593 Software Group.
2. If the defective 375-0593 Software Group is not found on the machine, then no further action is required.
Note: Flashing of a new software on not affected machines is not covered in under this program.
3. If the defective 375-0593 Software Group is found, retrieve the new 377-1879 Software Group from SIS.
a) Store the file at the root of a USB Flash Drive Memory Card.
b) Connect the USB Flash Drive Memory Card to the USB port at the back of the monitor.
c) Select Winflash in the service menu of the monitor and flash the monitor with the new 377-1879 Software Group.
d) Check for proper orientation of the picture of the rear view camera and turn it by 90 degrees if not already done when the defective 375-0593 Software Group was initially flashed on the machine.

0.5 hours will be allowed for inspection of the machine for the defective software group.
An additional 0.5 hours can be claimed in case the 375-0593 software was previously flashed and needs to be reflashed with the new 377-1879 software.

The monitor software needs to be checked, and if necessary, replaced on certain M313D, M315D, M316D, M318D, M322D, M318D MH, and M322D MH Wheeled Excavators. A problem with the 375-0593 Monitor Software can result, after a certain period of continuous machine operation, in the monitor display (graphics) to freeze up. With the display frozen, level three warnings cannot be displayed to
