Procedure for replacing connecting bolts chassis /drive axle and fitting of reinforcing bar (item 2)
This procedure can be disregarded if item 2 is installed.
- Remove front left h. guard on feeder house.- Loosen tension and remove feederhouse drive belt. Remove large pulley (item A).- Adjust threshing concave such that linkage r.h. and l.h. (item B) point exactly between two connecting bolts for chassis / drive axle (item C) (concave clearance approx. 20 mm).- To avoid the concave from dropping during disassembly of the hydraulic cylinders (item D), put two long pieces of wood (item E) over the conveyor floor so that threshing concave and pre-concave are supported.- Remove pins (item F) and disassemble hydraulic cylinders (item D). Do not disconnect hydraulic lines. Move hydraulic cylinder to the side.
- Disassemble turnbuckles of pre-concave setting (item G). - Remove support plates (item H). - Loosen M20 connecting bolts for chassis / drive axle; one side at a time. Remove bolts and discard.- Bolt chassis again to drive axle with following parts:Hex. bolts M20 x 150 (item 14)Contact washers A20 (item 13)Lock nut VM 20 (item 12) and Reinforcing bar (item 2).Tighten bolts to 410 N m.- Reassemble concave linkage cylinders, remove wood, and tension feederhouse drive belt per operator's manual. Carry out test run. - retighten connection bolts for chassis/ drive axle after 50 operating hours. Tighten bolts to 410 N m (item 14)
Procedure for welding plate (item 6) to R.H. cylinder housing side wall
- Do the following when welding on the machine:a) Disconnect battery master switch.b) Disconnect connection to CEBIS or IMO screen. The connection is in the central electric compartment next to plug-in module (11 - reel automatic system).c) Pull out electric modules in the central electrics compartment.d) Disconnect the wiring harness connector between engine and main wiring loom.e) Attach ground clamp as close as possible to the area being welded.- Release the tension and remove cylinder drive belt.- Disassemble drive pulley of the APS drum (with the three M12 bolts).- Put plate (item 6) on to gusset (item A) up to the middle. Weld plate (item 6) at item C to cylinder housing (item B) and to gusset (item A).-Touch up paint at welding areas.- Reassemble pulley and tighten bolts with 110 N m.- Reassemble drive belt and tighten as per operators manual. Procedure for reinforcing bottom part of chassis:
- Remove drive belt (l.h. side of machine) for sieve pan drive.- Remove pulley and tensioner (sieve pan drive third step) so item 8 can be welded in place.- Clean all areas where weldings have to be done.- Weld l.h. strap (item 8) to bottom part of chassis by hole welding in slotted holes.- Weld l.h. reinforcement (item 4) to bottom part of chassis by hole welding in holes and at item A. Holes (item B) must remain open.- Touch up paint at welded areas. .- Reassemble pulley and tensioner (sieve pan drive third step). Install drive belt, and tension as per operators manual.- Remove
