Start By:a. remove transmission arrangement 1. Remove plate (1) and gasket. 2. Remove bolt (2) and plate (3). 3. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the transfer gear case.4. Remove the bolts and washers that hold the input transfer gears to the transmission. 5. Install two 3/8"-16 NC forcing screws (4) and make a separation of input transfer gears (5) from the transmission. The weight of the input transfer gear is 88.5 kg (195 lb). 6. Fasten tooling (A) and hoist to transmission and output transfer gear. Rotate 90°. Put transmission and output transfer gear on blocks as shown.
Do not remove two bolts (6) at this time.
7. Remove bolts (7) that hold the transmission to the transfer gear. 8. Fasten tooling (B) and a hoist to transmission (8). The weight of the transmission is 726 kg (1600 lb). 9. Install two 1/2"-13 NC forcing screws (9) in the output transfer gear and make a separation of transmission (8) from output transfer gear (10).Install Transmission-Gear-Transfer (Input & Output)
1. Fasten tooling (B) and a hoist to transmission (1). The weight of the transmission is 726 kg (1600 lb).2. Put new O-ring seals (4) in position on the transmission. These are the seals for the junction of transmission (1) and output transfer gear (2).3. Install two 5/8"-11 NC guide bolts into transfer gear (2).4. Carefully put transmission (1) in alignment with output transfer gear (2) and on to guide pins (3). 5. Install bolts (6) and washers that hold transmission (1) to the output transfer gear. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 270 25 N m (199 18 lb ft).6. Put transmission and output transfer gear in a vertical position so the input transfer gear can be installed on the transmission.
Be sure the transmission and output transfer gear have stability in the vertical position. Check stability to prevent personal injury.
7. Put O-ring seal (5) in position on transmission. 8. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to input transfer gear (7). The weight of the input transfer gear (7) is 88.5 kg (195 lb).9. Put input transfer gear (7) in position on the transmission and install the bolts and washers that hold transfer gear (7). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 270 25 N m (199 18 lb ft). 10. Install plate (8) and bolt (9). Tighten bolt (9) to a torque of 120 15 N m (88.5 11 lb ft). 11. Install plate (10) and gasket.End By:a. install transmission arrangement
