When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
In October of 2008 a change was made to all Rocker switches to improve lens retention. Rocker switches manufactured prior to this date may have lens retention problems.
ACTION REQUIRED
The switch manufacturing date code may vary from the packaging date code due to a time delay between supplier manufacturing date and packaging date.
Inspect and remove all rocker switches from dealer parts stock that have a supplier manufacturing Date Code prior to 0844 on the switch, or a packaging date code prior to January 1, 2009 on packaging. The Date Code explanation is described after the switch part number listing.
Due to quantity of parts per part number, it is recommended that all part numbers are inspected in the following order, beginning with the first part number:
